Healy Headlines December 2018 and January 2019
Hi Everyone!!
I hope you are all staying warm as winter seems to be coming whether we like it or not!
Lots of info here for you!! Reminder, we have the winter recital Sunday January 20, with mandatory dress rehearsal on Friday January 18, please hold 3-530 in your calendar for this, and please remember to list as a conflict to other things you are involved in!! We will be setting up rehearsals after the first of the year with Ms Papili on this. If you are not going to be singing on the concert, please let me know asap.
Note, Vocal Festival at UD is Feb 10th, if you want to participate, please let me know so we can plan. The apps for this need to be in by Jan 14th. For those of you who haven’t done this, it is a chance to sing and receive notes back on your performance.
Vocal festival Update:
So far those interested in participating in Vocal festival at UD (you sing and receive notes back from one of the UD voice faculty, date is Sunday feb 10.,application due by Jan 13 at the very latest but I need to know by the end of this week, I think its a $20.00 app fee plus ms papili fee for rehearsal and to play)

Reminder, Holiday break is Wednesday Dec 19-Jan 1, returning Wednesday January 2nd.
Now here’s what has been going on in the studio, and lots of congrats to many of the students!!
MTNA competition , we had three participants, and all three students received honors; Ruby Anderson was 1st place, and advanced to Regionals as the Delaware representative, the alternate is Sydney Kenton, and honorable mention was Savannah Klumpp.
Philadephia Regional NATS competition, we had 6 students participate; Brooke Chalfant, Caroline Achenbach, Ned Way, Savannah Klumpp, Sydney Kenton, and Connor Murray.
Sydney Kenton placed 1st in High School classical Division, Ned Way placed 1st in High School Men’s music Theater division, Connor Murray placed 2nd in High School Mens classical division, and Savannah Klumpp placed 1st in High School 9th,10th grade classical division. Ned Way also was given the Robert Sataloff Award for Best High School Singer.

CONGRATS ! TO LINDSAY HAWTOF for winning the Regional MTNA competition in West Virginia (was representing the 13 state region), and advancing to FINALS in March in Orlando!

Hi All! I hope you are all enjoying these glorious colors of fall!! I haven’t sent an email in a while, and this one is full of info!!
First of all, the time of the All State rehearsal here at in my studio is moved to FRIDAY NOV 17, 4-5 pm. The following morning is the All State Audition. I have a list of auditioners as Savannah, Ruby, Sarah, Riley, Caroline C, Aja, Kelley, Connor M, Fiona, Claire, Kacie, Brooke and Jake Kline. Please let me know if you will be coming to the rehearsal/ run thru! I will be leaving my house by 5:15 to get to UD for dress rehearsals for MTNA that evening.
Also, reminder, there is no lesson Thanksgiving week, the week of Nov 20th, Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

NATS Delaware:
First place in MT Division Mens, Ben Strong , and 1st place MT division women, Becky Rusch.
Ben and Becky were both asked to participate in a very lively Masterclass with Robert Edwin, a leading authority on Contemporary Commercial Music and Music Theater.
November 18th we will cheer on the students participating in MTNA competition, they are Lindsay Hawtof, Sydney Kenton, Connor Carp, and Brooke Chalfant

Studio Update, October 29, 2015
Hello Everyone!
The beautiful colors of fall continue to flood in as we move from the warm weather to crisp fall evenings and continue our vocal studies!
A few things, first of all CONGRATS! to the students who participated in Fall National Association of Singing Competition at the University of Delaware a few weeks ago~
They were Ashley Graef, Ashley Narvaez, Nolan Moss, Ben Strong, Lindsay Hawtof, Sydney Kenton, Margaret Achenbach, and Brynley Lammers, and Brooke Chalfant
All the students had great comments from the judges!
The final results were :
2nd Place college freshman women, Lindsay Hawtof (Lindsay won the high school division last year, and had to compete against freshman in college)
2nd place high school men, Ben Strong
3rd place high school men, Nolan Moss
2nd place high school women, Brynley Lammers
3rd place high school women, Margaret Achenbach
This Saturday, Lindsay Hawtof, Ben Strong, Margaret Achenbach, Nolan Moss and Sydney Kenton will compete in the Music Teachers National Association voice competition.
Many thanks to our wonderful accompanist, Ms Lisa Papili for accompanying our singers!
We continue to work towards our recital at the end of January, as well as prepare those who are trying out for Delaware All State choir.
